“Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.”
This world will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in. Hence, each of us should participate in giving helping hands for the betterment of the poor and needy people. As according to Mohammed Ali, through this way we will be paying our rent for our room here on Earth.
As once Regis said, “Part of being a person is about helping others.” Hence, government, individuals and many NGOs, etc. are working hard for the social-upliftment and development of the poor and needy ones.
Similarly, Social Upliftment And Development For Health Action (SUADHA), a non – governmental organization has been working for last eight years on different health issues as well as social causes to uplift the poor and needy people.
Their vision and mission are social upliftment and development of the society for health action and to empower the community for social and educational upliftment with prevention and rehabilitation against different killer diseases respectively. Their aim is to create socially healthy and wealthy society.
Since the poverty line in rural areas is below normal and in cities health hazards is beyond control. Though the government is framing educational and health programmes to overcome the social requirements the target do not meet satisfactorily. SUADHA is extending support for education, poor relief, tribal-welfare and various health care facilities.
Being a Healthy person of the Community is the important social wealth. In recent times, there has been an increase in the incidence of Cancer/Osteoporosis/ HIV/AIDS/ Thyroid and especially women related disease. This is mainly attributed to urbanization, industrialization, lifestyle changes, faulty food habits and population growth. This has caused an up rise in not just communicable diseases but also non-communicable diseases like cancer, thyroid, diabetes and hypertension. More than 70% of the cases report for diagnostic and treatments in advanced stages of the disease, which has led to poor survival and high mortality rates.
The impact of these diseases causes immense emotional trauma and its treatment, major economic burden. So the Organization’s health action was programmed to educate people from all over India. This action of SUADHA has empowered the community to take preventive steps against different silent killer diseases.
SUADHA is busy inculcating interest for different sustainability projects in the minds to rehabilitate of rural and tribal population.
Their objectives are as follows:
One of their project is Rehab Centre, its aim is to empower the hardworking women and offer them a source of income for a country whose population of women alone is more than the total population of many other western countries, India fares low where their treatment is concerned. The number of sexual abuse and domestic violence cases against women clearly shows that women in India do not enjoy even basic human rights. Given such a scenario, SUADHA NGO has started an important role to play to support all such deserving women from Kalyan city to offer them a source of income and increase their self-esteem and decrease their mental stress, helping them to survive with dignity. They have started making ‘Paper Bags’ from old newspaper, which are collected from door to door from generous people with three different sizes small, medium and big sizes. At present with different other material, with Eco-friendly articles their aim is to protect our society from plastic pollution.
We salute to the hard working team for doing such noble work for the betterment of society.
